its time for a little trip back in time…
I didn’t want to let this pass so for the readers who don’t have my password to the last post (..and you can have it, as long as a) you don’t mind too much information and b) don’t mind a bit of the serious, get in touch…) here is a short sharp and very sweet meme.
I’ve been tagged by Helen and Pinkjellybaby for the Beautiful Blogger Award. I don’t want to sing my own trumpet or blow my own praises, but anyone who has a snotty cold and a gorgeous cold sore must be beautiful…right?
Anyways, here is the lovely award. Nice eh?
And for it, all i have to do is tell you 7 interesting things about me. Here you go…
(P.s…sorry for the quality of the photos!)
1) I still have the fringe I had when I was 4 (?)… I give you the evidence..
2) I used to be in the Scouts and went to a world jamboree in Holland aged 17 (such a geek!)
3) I used to have permed hair for most of my teenage years… and wore a bump (and had gorgeous guinea pigs called sooty and sweep!)
4) I used to be a whizz in the garden, ok i might be tiny, but that’s a huge lettuce! Its bigger than my head!
5) I used to horse ride regularly…id still love to go now, but i live in a city and rarely get the chance…
6) I had amazing fashion sense in the 80s…check out the leggings and ankle boots, i could dress like this today!
7) and finally…ten years ago i got married, ill soon be divorced, but here is me in my wedding dress about to get eaten by my bouquet!
I’m meant to tag 7 of you, but i think most have you have done this, so if you haven’t been tagged yet, its your turn!

you were so cute! But those brown trousers are awful, why would they do that to you?!
I know, utterly unfashionable, they didnt do girls very well in the scouts!
Haha! You really haven’t changed all that much!
You mentioned you had a “Bump” in the pic with a perm. Is that the bit that went up at the front of your hair? We used to call that a “lick” although that might just have been a Hamilton thing. It always sounded vaguely disgusting though…
Yep, we called it a bump, i have some dreadful photos of me with one, i might take a few more photos for another 80s/90s tastic post!
I tried to do one myself but could never get mine to stay up (ooh-er!) I also cut myself a fringe in first year of high school which was an absolute disaster. I still randomly cut my hair now. You’d think I’d have learned but oh no…
That picture of you in scout uniform just made me cackle! Incredible! I might try and find one of me in my guide uniform. Hot stuff!
Go for it Helen! That would be hilarious! :)
Right ill have to put up my brownie one!
For a special treat for commenters, here is my brownie one!

Aw. Great photos! My parents have all of my old ones…
Liking your photo idea. I am jealous…you had a perm!! I was desperate for a perm but my mum wouldn’t let me have one so I hated her for about a year. Why oh why were scout and brownie uniforms brown..its the most awful colour in the world?!
The wee gardener is my fav pic of you – sooo cute :) And what a beautiful bride you were!
I had a perm, too, I actually sometimes miss it – it spared me all the fuss with blow-drying and straightening my hair. ;)
that bump with the perm (we called it a bump, thousands of miles away on the shores of the Great Lakes, and the perm was called a “spiral”) was all the rage here too.
And thank you for the wedding pic. I always wondered if you would post one.
