Any other day I would call, you would say “Baby how’s your day?”
It’s the return of the Monday Sundries post…otherwise known as my brain has yet to wake up yet and write something meaningful.
(…actually, today that is a lie as i’m busy finishing my first essay of the term, plus the accompanying presentation. Gulp…)
Anyways… here is this week’s news…
…this morning i received notification from the Sherrif Court that my divorce application has been processed and the Ex has been informed. If all goes well (and with him, you are never sure) ill be back to Miss H in 35 days… 10 years over in one quick form and a £90 cheque. Ill be writing more about this in the coming weeks, i’m sure, but what’s really weird is that just as ill be getting my Decree ill be off to a wedding to celebrate the start of a couple’s life together rather than the end…
…we attempted the Glasgow ‘subcrawl’ this weekend and failed miserably. Well, the boy did having drunkenly asked to go home and then falling asleep and wibbling on my shoulder all the way home on the train. For those who don’t know what ‘subcrawl’ is, its 15 stops around the Glasgow underground, stopping at a pub at every stop. I wont tell you how many stops and pubs we managed, but it was pathetic i tell you. PATHETIC! I blame tequila. I’m sure that isn’t on the list of appropriate drinks…
…Valentines Day… hum, after last year’s pathetic attempt at ermmm achieving squat all, i went all out this year and got the Boy cupcakes from @rainbowcupcaker . Chocolate cakes with frosted cream icing and pink hearts.
Although presenting them to him first thing on Sunday morning when his hangover was in full swing wasn’t the best of ideas… He did however present me with 12 red roses, topping last years 1 by a country mile. However, the kitten has taken a fancy to them and has be decapitating them at a rate of one a day, the remaining 9 are looking rather sorry for themselves!
…however, Valentines is not yet over, as the Boy has organised a ‘special’ meal for Thursday night, for which i require a ‘special’ dress. This has been duly bought from Hobbs – here it is… The Dress. It’s a little unusual for me, who always wears black, but i’m branching out ok? It will also do for the wedding next month as well which is here.. wow! … now to find a suitable bag and shoes. It has a certain ‘Madmen’ appeal, doesn’t it?
…what else? Well, this week i’m also of to see Ocean Colour Scene on Wednesday night (my xmas present), I start my meds and well, finally, the Boy is moving in…
Ok, not for a couple of months, but i just had to let you know….
How is your week looking? Any news for me?

Ohh boo. Have just worked out it wont be 35 days as Ex has gone walkabout… ah well, been waiting 10 years, another few wont matter

We managed 11 or 12 stops before the subway closed. Honestly i think I could have gone the distance, if you play it careful it is do-able (start at 11am gives you 12hrs. Have 1 pint per pub ONLY. That way you’re only drinking 1.25 pints/hr)
But a couple of my pals weren’t quite as ‘restrained’, So were pretty blitz by pub 6 or 7. But in fairness to them they kept going till subway closed and then stayed on for a few drinks in the last pub!
Then again, we all are heavy drinking alcoholics; that might have had something to do with it.

It is good news, but as i commented, he’s gone walkabout again, so no idea when hell actually receive the papers, this might take a while..

still can’t believe the boy only lasted three stops – you must have been barely INTO Glasgow when he was wasted! I’m still not sure I can manage this myself but gonna give it a good go come the summer anyway!
PS I just spent about five minutes trying to figure out those lyrics. “Say My Name”?

Oops – just realised I gave away how many stops you two lasted on the sub crawl when you said in your post you weren’t going to say. Sorry!
(And then I followed THAT up with inadvertently providing the answer to your future music quiz! Obviously today is just not my day, haha!)

You should have stuck him on a train home himself and came to Reflex with me, my sis and my friends, it was a great laugh!

I see you sneaking that moving in thing at the bottom there. Congratulations, that’s a pretty big deal if you ask me.

Congrats on the divorce. So you’ll be a miss H aswell
Technically I’m not anymore but I keep it for sentimental reasons. I’m too young to be a Mrs.
Those cupcakes look delicious!! I wish Mr W liked cakes and sweet things so then I could buy them on the pretence that they are form him but eat some myself.
The dress is beautiful!!!
Ooh moving in together..you have wet towels on the bedroom floor and mens pants to look forward too

Congrats on the divorce!
I went to see Ocean Colour Scene last week, t’was a great gig. I was gutted I’d forgotten loads of the words I knew off the top of my head all them years ago (although I was absolutely bladdered, so that’s my excuse)! Enjoy the gig
PS: Can you believe Moseley Shoals was released 14 years ago? God that makes me feel old!
