you are inclined to make me rise an hour early just like Daylight Savings Time
After trying in vain and failing to zip up yet another dress ordered online the time has finally come to admit that I have gone up a dress size.
I’ve been tiny for a very long time. The effects of alcohol and bad eating have been mitigated by a dodgy digestive system that whilst very unhealthy had the bonus of keeping me slim and trim with very little effort on my part.
But the bi-monthly weigh in by my specialist gastroenterologist has shown a steady upward trend. 2 pounds 1 month, 4 the next. Health wise it’s great. I am off the ‘we are very worried about her’ list and about to start the last round of tests. I haven’t had a sick day in 4 months. I have more energy and more positivity, life is becoming good again.
But I can’t deny it’s anymore, it’s not a few extra pounds anymore, but a whole extra stone. But I am not fat, I have a comfortable 23 BMI, on the topside of healthy. But I no longer look like me.
For a start I have page 3 boobs.
Now I am not complaining, but I seem to be the only person who puts on weight and it goes on their boobs. I haven’t gone up a dress size because of the tummy but the tits. Squeezing these babies into a dress that fits my hips just aint gonna happen. I may still only be a 32 around the top, but I am now buying a size E. An E?? I used to be a B before I started growing. At my age I should not be having this kind of growth spurt.
I get tooted at, winked at, heads turn. I have become an object to be stared at. The boy of course, loves em. He would. He is allowed.
It’s flattering, but a little disconcerting. How do you girls cope with this? I am so used to looking like a boy; I honestly have no idea how to react to it….or even find clothes that fit a figure like this that don’t make me look like i should be on page 3!

Welcome to the club
When I moved to Scotland I put on some weight and went from cup C to E (depending on the bra, sometimes I’m able to squeeze into D, and I have a rarely used DD corset). I have lost quite a lot of weight recently, but the boobs stayed the same
But mind you, I’ve never had boyish figure and have experienced guys talking to my boobs since I was 20-something (only because when I was younger I was wearing baggy clothes). It comes handy sometimes
We were organising a community even a couple of weeks ago and I had this revealing top on – two of my male friends ended up staring. That was actually quite hilarious
And yes, similar here: hour glass figure, meaning all my clothes are baggy around my waist or really tight around my hips with boobs wanting to jump off the cleavage. And people think it’s on purpose :/

Ive always had a boyish figure, size 6, then 8, now a 10. But then I am only 4,11 so it suited my size. I could go out with a halter nexk top on and no bra, now if I dont wear a bra its obsene! I gave the taxi driver who brought me home from my fake tan last night a right eyeful.
I guess I am still tiny, it’s just different for me to look at myself and see a different shape in the mirror.

At 26 my boobs are still growing :/ I’m now at 36H, but bras are starting to be ill-fitting again. Godforbid when I get pregnant.
If you want dresses that fit properly everywhere, check out Bravissimo. They’re pretty good, but can be a little expensive. They usually have a pretty good range too.

Ouch! I find my size bra really difficult to find, 32E? Its like i’ve had a boob job rather than them being real.
I get the Bravissimo catalogue and like the look of their wrap dresses. Might give them a try, thanks!

I’m the same, when i put weight on i went from a 34B to a 38D – i am now in a 34D and they ain’t shrinking like the rest of me is. Luckily for me i am in the range that most shops still stock but i do know (because my sister-in-law is a 36GG/H that M&S do some really lovely bras in bigger sizes). you can’t go wrong with Bravissimo though, they do blouses that fit round your boob size as well as dresses

hmmm i find dressing easier because i have hips to match my boobs but i’d say you’re going to have to go for tulip shaped dresses and generally more fitted/tailored stuff maybe with pockets or detailing at the hips to balance you out…no more baggy things because it’ll just fly right off your boobs and make you look bigger.
Go for fitted and show your figure off!!

Big boobs suck unless you are a stripper.
I’ve always had them, and have a hard time dealing with them. V-necks are always good because you show some neck but the tops of your boobs stay covered. Tank tops go well under anything, even those cheap little cami’s you can get for practically nothing. Old Navy is great for them, and they do international shipping now. Or maybe you have stores there?
I’m with Kasia on the baggy around the waist thing. If you have a nice middle, keep things fitted so you don’t look like you’re wearing a flour sack. Yes it will be fitted to your chest too, but it’s better than looking like you’ve just given birth or gotten pregnant. Or ate too much.
good luck, lady.
Oh, and get a good bra. An expensive bra can make a cheap shirt look like a million bucks.

I’ve gone from a 34C to a 30F and its a nightmare. Only just have m and s started doing ranges that fit and i still feel like they are the first thing a lot of people notice about me. Bravissimo is amazing, though i find some of the underwear a little old fashioned. I also find it ridiculous that to get your boobs to fit in a shirt they expect you to be so much larger than you are everywhere else. i like you am a size 10 everywhere else and so its just hard work. I find gap really good, along with ted baker and a lot of the time i end up wearing quite plain work clothes and very funky shoes as the choice of clothes is limited x

I lose/gain in my boobs as well, along with my tummy and thighs! I hate the ups and downs with the chest area because of stretch marks and generally looking like I belong in National Geographic.
