Having been given my nickname Smidge as a child I guessed I would never reach 5 foot tall. Hailing from a tiny village in the country I moved to the bright lights of Edinburgh aged 18 and never looked back.

I am now celebrating my 15^th year of city living so you can probably guess I am rather big fan of Edinburgh. You can check out my recommendations for bars, restaurants, days out and things to do here.

I now divide my time between being a mum to two bratty cats, asking people to get things off the top shelf, using a cushion to see over the steering wheel and drinking far too much tequila.

I love travelling, cooking, road trips, long walks, anything French, and very expensive shoes. I am partially deaf (so check I can hear you) and on a never ending quest to find out who I am after being adopted at birth. If you want to catch up on my life in a hurry check out  (500) days of Smidge.
