I am a planner, so the planning is fun for me, but you are right, it is much easier when you are not the centre of attention of the whole thing

I had my first freak out less than a month after we got engaged so you are not alone in that one! You are much further along than me, dress trying on is so not on my radar yet. The venue is tho and that needs to be perfect. I am praying I can get my dream venue sorted!

I think the plan is to have a small as possible ceremony to help with the fear factor and then a medium sized meal and then a big party, adding numbers as the day progresses so not to freak me out. That is the plan anyway, i would prefer small but i doubt that will happen!

I adore your Pinterest board

I’ve had my first wedding planning breakdown as well – actually two of them. First when the venue I’d always wanted didn’t pan out, and second when I voiced concern that M was being critical of my every idea and not positive or supporting at all. I felt quite alone in planning. (Also keep in mind that we’ve been engaged since late November, so just over two months and all this.) We’re also dealing with the guest list issue – my family is HUGE and quite close, his is huge and they hardly speak to each other. It certainly does become spectacle, hm?, but I’m holding out hope that it all works out just fine.

It’s your wedding. If you don’t want 150 people there why not have a small intimate do? We only had 20 guests because I was petrified of standing in front of loads of people so we only had our nerest and dearest there rather than the man from my local corner shop and my mums collegues who I’d met once but who she insisted should be there.

But then again if you want a big do you’d better start preparing yourself

honestly. I’ve never had a kiss. Yet I’m heading towards my thirties.. Like that film, never been kissed. Kinda sucks. It’s in my book!
